Stunning weather greeted everyone today for racing after the disapointing postponement of the South Island Stock Car Championships. The feature of the day was the Greymouth Radiator Shop 20 lap street race won by John Bourke, second was Shane Olsen who won the last street car race, and third was Sam Lord.

Ministocks, who put on an impressive display of racing with lots of spins and taps.

Once again great racing between Lindsay McQuillam from Christchurch and Ross Brown from Greymouth with McQuilliam once again taking out the honours.

TQ's
TQ's from Nelson raced against the locals with James Thompson showing his skill in this class. Indications are that the South Island TQ championship will be closely competitive.

Youth MiniStocks
This class consists of youngsters and they are showing impressive skills already in their first season of racing. They will be a real threat to established competitors when they are old enough to race in adult classes.
