Sunday 3rd December 2006 Greenstone Park Speedway

Greymouth Speedway drivers ventured to Westport on Sunday 3rd December 2006. It was Sunset Speedways opening meeting, Colin Wishart Raceday.

In the youth ministock class, Greymouth Girls Alex Wilson-Daily and Sarah Bellis battled it out with the 3 Westport Boys. Alex Wilson-Daily took home 1st place, Sarah Bellis was 2nd and Westport driver Robert Gaskill 3rd.

In the adult Ministocks a much larger field of 10 cars, fierce competition was seen from all drivers with some very skillful and fast driving.
The Greymouth drivers were no match for the slower Westport competitors. Glen Redmond took home 1st place with 3 wins for the day, 2nd was Tony Stanton and 3rd Meataxe.
