REVIEWS / RESULTS:
Greenstone Park Speedway
Anyone who stayed away because of the weather predictions missed the best meeting at Greenstone Park for the year. The weather conditions were ideal, there was a large crowd and over 100 entries over seven classes.
Excellent racing with large fields raced for the King of the Coast Trophies with locals featuring in the prize list in TQ's, Ministocks, Production Saloons and Street Stocks. The day ended with a prizegiving at the Omoto Racecourse.
TQ's
James Thompson, once again, showed what an excellent competitor he is by winning the TQ class. With the NZ championship at the track next year he will be a firm contender.

Production Saloons
A good field took to the track for this class and the placings changing with each heat. Gerry Filius of Christchurch narrowly taking the honours from Andrew Fitzgerald of Greymouth and Shawn Keen of Christchurch with second equal and a run off took place taken out by Keen.

Ministocks
Local entrants took out two of the three placings but were narrowly beaten to first place by Nigel Boyce of Blenheim by one point. Dwayne Honey of Greymouth was second and Tony Stanton of Greymouth, third. Racing was very competitive and four drivers went into the last round with two points between them.

Street Stocks
Street Stock racing is always exciting and Saturday was not exception. Seventeen cars took to the track and many didn't make the last race. Local Mark Reeves was came in third equal with Stephen Lennon of Christchurch. Steve Jackson of Christchurch was the final winner and Chris Leigh of Christchurch in second place.

Super Saloons
Consistent placings from Dennis Bolt from Christchurch won him the championship this year. Local Dave Manera took out the first round but unfortunately car problems prevented him from any hope of a place. A run off for second place between Robert Jefcoate and Shane Carey gave Carey the points.

Modifieds
The largest field of Modifieds took to the track at Greenstone Park this season and provided excellent racing. Natasha Rodgers excelled with one first and two thirds to win the title.

Super Stocks
Twenty stock cars on the track is an awesome sight. Drivers from Blenheim, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin battled for the title. Brendon Higgens took out the first round and was the eventual winner. Ian Burson from Christchurch took the second round and Brett Nicholls from Nelson, the third round.
